Save the Children has worked in Nepal since 1976 and have extensive programs throughout the country.
On April 25 a magnitude-7.9 earthquake hit Nepal, just 50 miles from the capitol, Katmandu. It caused untold devastation, killing over 9,000 people and injuring a further 17,000 – including many children.
Save the Children teams were able to reach more than 127,000 people, including 76,000 children, with vital aid.
